LIC HFL SATHI Project or Digital Education (E-Learning) Project: Sanjeevani in collaboration with Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) Housing Finance Limited CSR has undertaken an initiative of establishing e-learning systems to improve the education development in government schools in the state of Uttarakhand.
Education is the social institution through which society provides its members with important knowledge, including basic facts, job skills, and cultural norms values. Through the right education, a person can develop good moral values. It helps us to become a good human being. The current learning approach is found that blended learning, which is a teaching system that blended between classrooms and online learning via a computer network, digital platform learning has been very popular in education institutions and schools. It has directed the students and youth the education learning system towards regular class room knowledge learning process or subject learning process. Education development has driven towards more innovative thoughts of teaching and learning and making it possible to solve problems of learning management appropriately. However the education has far reach and long journey in terms of school to college and job orientation or skill orientation.
“Learning is lighting the candle not filling the bucket” and every student has natural curiosity to learn something new. Learning new things and sharing their discovery with friends, teachers, and parents is the source of happiness for students. To help them for becoming more happier and responsible citizens, schools must provide much more than defined learning pedagogies, syllabi and examinations. The need of the hour is to develop a new attitude towards the student and to address their myriad learning requirements. E- Learning is a powerful tool for shifting toward a new educational domain. Effective e-learning comes from using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to broaden educational opportunity and help students develop the skills they need to flourish based on modern technology century.
This LIC HFL SATHI Project or Digital Education (E-learning) and Education development strategy incorporates core outputs from school and students in long-standing engagement in modernizing primary education, and reforms pursued with multiple interventions methods in school and for the student’s development. Using a sector wide phased approach with emphasis on results, the Sanjeevani will combine the gains of previous and ongoing investments in general education to move to the next level of reforms that will prioritize quality and relevance of education in the schools. It is here Sanjeevani along with LIC CSR initiate strives for the importance of education improvement strategy in the school that enhances the quality of school, improving the student’s learning with the provision of quality facilities and setting up of e-learning systems in the schools covering the district Almora and Udham Singh Nagar.
The Goal of the project is to provide a comprehensive e-learning platform for digital education method to the children of schools in 40 government schools in Almora and Udham Singh Nagar districts, the state of Uttarakhand.
- To provide comprehensive e-learning facility to 40 government schools in the hilly regions of Almora and Udham Singh Nagar District, Uttarakhand.
- Help the schools improve the students’ interest in education, considering the adverse effects of education interest among students in this region.
- Improve access to quality education with focus on improved attendance of the students in school, and on education in general.
- To address the vulnerability in terms of education for the children by providing access to interactive, and engaging ways of quality education.
