Green Livelihood programme is supported by CBM India Trust. CBM eV located in Germany is an International disability and development organization whose primary purpose to improve the quality of life of world’s poorest person with disability and those at risk of disability, CBM works in the most disadvantaged societies, irrespective of race, gender or religion. CBM seeks to reduce the prevalence of disease which causes impairment; minimize the condition which leads to disability and promoted equal opportunity for economic empowerment, livelihood security and full inclusion in all aspects of society for person with disability.
Green Livelihood project is to implement disability inclusive sustainable green livelihood for persons with disabilities including women in the state of Uttarakhand in India. More than 200 persons with disabilities will be covered under skill development on farm and non-farm income generation activities like horticulture, apiculture, Mushroom production, diary, floriculture, medicinal and aromatic plantation, spice production and processing. Financial inclusion and local self-governance, Disability Producer Organisations development and linkage with government programmes for sustainability will be major part of the project proposal.
